Not a cloth diaper user? You can still participate! Register your baby and leave a comment letting us know that you will need to borrow a cloth diaper for the event. Borrowed cloth diapers will be returned after the official change is over. (No need to worry about whether the diaper is soiled during the event or not - we wash them!)
We are proud to have Luludew Organic Diaper Service sponsoring our loaner diapers this year for families new to cloth!
Thanks to The Real Diaper Circle for Ventura County, and it's members for making this event happen and to Horizon Hills for hosting!

All participants should be onsite by 10:15AM for registration.
What do I bring: We will be changing our babies and toddlers on a hard surface so please bring something to lay them on (blanket, changing mat, etc). For this record, each baby must be changed from any type of diaper into a 100% reusable cloth diaper. Please contact us if you are in need of a cloth diaper for the change. A $1 suggested donation for the Real Diaper Association is greatly appreciated as well.
Are there rules to follow? Yes there are:
- For this record, each baby must be changed from any type of diaper into a 100% reusable cloth diaper.
- All Babies and toddlers must be 39 inches or shorter.
- Each baby must be paired with exactly one adult participant. No additional siblings or adults are allowed in the official change zone.
What's the current record? Congratulations and thank you to all past Great Cloth Diaper Change participants and supporters!! Ventura County's participation has steadily grown each year and we hope to see even more participants this year! Our 2012 event included 43 participant pairs (adult and baby pair) and grew to 66 participant pairs in 2013! In 2014 we had 69 participant pairs qualify towards the newest world record! I am very happy with our event attendance. Families outgrow diapers every year yet our community's enthusiasm continues to steadily grow! Thank you!
"2014: This year marked the first time we had qualifying events on 6 different continents while breaking the world record yet again. This time, 18 countries qualified with 188 events and 8,459 babies changed. 3 more countries and 82 other cities participated with non-qualifying events. ALL succeeded with raising awareness about cloth diapers in their communities!"
